BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Brockport wrestling team improved to 6-1 on the season with a 26-12 win over the University of Scranton in front of a crowd of nearly 1,500 people on Saturday. The dual meet took place amid the Section V wrestling championships in the Special Events Recreation Center (SERC).
No. 10
Jonathan Haas got things started at 125 with a victory by fall over Nick DePierro in the first period. Haas has dropped only one bout this season so far, boasting a 22-1 record.
Dillon Stowell and
Donny McCoy were up next, both going the distance with their opponents and earning major decision victories. The eight combined points gave Brockport a 14-0 lead, which ended up being more than enough to secure a victory.

Michael Falcon and
Triston Engle had the final two wins of the day for Brockport, both coming by decision. Engle's bout at 197 was hard fought to the end, with the only point coming on a conceded escape at the beginning of the second period.
