BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport wrestling team, which will be looking for its 48th consecutive winning season under head coach Don Murray in 2017, will open the season ranked 13th in the nation. The team finished eighth at last year's National Championships, and will return a pair of All-American's from that roster.
 
Jonathan Haas (Sr.) will open the season ranked second overall in the 125-lb weight class. The Spencerport, N.Y. native was dominant in his junior season, finishing with a third place finish in the 2016-17 national tournament. The returning All-American will look to repeat that success this year, with the goal of bring an NCAA Championship back to Brockport.
 
Triston Engle (Jr.) also earned All-America status with a fourth place finish in last year's 197-lb weight class. He enters the season ranked third in the nation, with the potential to return to the NCAA National Championships and compete for a title.
 
Sean Peacock (Sr.) is also receiving national attention to start the season, as D3wrestle.com has him ranked sixth in the 149-lb weight class. The Phelps, N.Y. native barely missed a trip to Nationals a season ago, placing sixth at the Regional Tournament.
 
The wrestling team will get its season started this Saturday when they host the annual Brockport open, with matches set to begin at 10 a.m.
