NSCAA/Continental Tire National Poll

The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team made its 2013 debut in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III National Poll at No. 15 as the latest poll was released Tuesday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles jumped into the Top 25 poll and are the No. 2 ranked team in the East Region for the week ending September 10 after consecutive 2-0 wins last week over St. John Fisher and Hobart. Brockport is off to an impressive 4-0 start with a pair of wins at the Doug May Classic over RIT and Nazareth to start the season coupled with last week's wins.

Brockport is also ranked #23 in the latest D3soccer.com poll also released Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles will be tested right away with the new ranking as the team heads north to face #20 St. Lawrence Saturday. The Saints were also unranked to start the season and made their way into the poll for the first time this week.

Stevens Institute is the top ranked team in the East Region and is the No. 3 team the national poll.

Brockport has been impressive offensively averaging 2.5 goals per game and even more dominant on the defensive end allowing just a single goal in the first four games. Senior Bobby Ross (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) leads the way with three goals while Chris O'Gorman (Wading River, NY/Shoreham-Wading River), Peter DiLorenzo (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) and Paul Altobelli (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) have two goals each for the Golden Eagles.

Defensively, Brockport's Casey Sullivan (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) has recorded three shutouts and was named the Disney/NSCAA Division III Player of the Week for the week ending September 9.
