Senior
Taylor Wierzba (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) won the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championship title on the floor exercise and junior
Elizabeth Levy (Glen Allen, VA/Hermitage) won the National Championship in the All-Around leading The College at Brockport Gymnastics team at the NCGA National Championship meet Friday and Saturday in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium in Brockport.
On Friday night, the Golden Eagles were crowned National Champions as a team as Brockport and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater each scored 188.050 points. Each of the teams was crowned 2012 National Champions.
Also on Friday, Levy won the All-Around title with a score of 37.650 and a high score of 9.55 on the balance beam. She also scored 9.45 on the vault, 9.4 on the floor and 9.25 on the bars for the Golden Eagles.
On Saturday, Wierzba highlighted a fantastic day for the Golden Eagles with her National Championship title on the floor with a score of 9.725. She also won All-American honors on the balance beam with a score of 9.425 and an eighth place finish.
The two All-American awards were just two of the 11 awards won by Brockport gymnasts Saturday.
Freshman
Olivia Sylvestro (Palm City, FL/Martin County) was an All-American on the vault with a fifth place tie and a score of 9.5 while sophomore
Gabrielle Petitto (Selden, NY/Newfield) also earned All-American honors on the vault with a tie for seventh place and a score of 9.45.
Five Golden Eagles were crowned All-American on the balance beam as sophomore
Jessica Rockafellow (Grand Blanc, MI/Grand Blanc) was fourth with a 9.5, Wierzba was eighth with her 9.425, Levy was ninth with her 9.375, junior
Kelcie Morris (Hagerstown, MD/Smithsburg) was 10th with a 9.325 and senior
Kileigh Chapman (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) was 12th with a 9.125 score.
Chapman also earned All-American honors on the bars along with two of her teammates. Chapman was fourth on bars with a 9.5 score while freshman
Natalie Manga (Fresh Meadows, NY/Benjamin N. Cardozo) was the third place finisher in the event with a 9.6 and Levy won her third All-American award with a ninth place finish and a 9.175 score.

John Feeney was named the NCGA National Coach of the Year while Chapman, Wierzba and
Colleen Chahbazi (Flushing, MI/Flushing) were honored as NCGA All-Academic team members.
