Box Score BOXSCORE

The College at Brockport Men's Lacrosse team erupted for a season-high in goals as the Golden Eagles defeated Medaille College 20-5. Junior Jesse Elliott (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) outscored the Mavericks himself with six goals and added two assists.

The 20 goals double the previous season-high for Brockport and are the most for a Brockport team since 2002 when the Golden Eagles scored a school-record 21 goals against SUNY IT.

The Golden Eagles scored six goals in the first period and four in the second as Medaille was limited to just two first half goals. Brockport put together eight goals in the third period and kept the Mavericks scoreless in the second and third periods. Elliot's six goals are a career-high as he now leads the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) with 24 goals.

Brad Weber (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) scored the team's first goal 1:09 into the game. After a Medaille goal with 3:44 remaining in the first to cut Brockport's lead to 4-2, the Golden Eagles scored the next 14 goals that stretched over all four periods. Elliot and Weber both scored two first period goals for Brockport. Alex Austin (Rochester, NY/Trinity-Pawling) added two first half goals and finished the game with three goals on four shots.

Eight different Golden Eagles scored a goal in the second half and 15 players registered at least one point on the day. Brendon Rothfuss (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) had one goal and a team-high three assists. Joe Matison (Penfield, NY/Webster Schroeder) tallied his first points of the season with one goal and two assists.

Keenan Sullivan (Grand Rapids, MI/Forest Hills Eastern) picked up a season-high 11 ground balls and won 16 faceoffs, also a season-high. As a team, the Golden Eagles won 21 of 31 faceoffs and picked up 30 ground balls to the Mavericks 13. Brockport outshot Medaille 32-17 and committed just six turnovers.
